Release notes for Navigate sprint 7.1.37, dated 19 January 2026. This release covers activity tracking, placements, reports, the Opportunities module and a range of general fixes.
Activities
1. Updated activity tracking hours calculations when "Do not reset" is selected
- When the Do not reset options are selected, the hours data included in the Activity Tracking Hours now only includes the previous year's data, not hours from all previous years.
- We have amended the text displayed when you set the Target Hours to reflect this.
- We have reordered the four "Do not reset" Activity Tracking hours tick boxes to match the order of the Activity Tracking fields displayed on the student details page.
Placements
2. Placement line listing grid now includes Authorised Absence hours
Authorised Absence hours are now displayed in the placement data grid next to Employer Confirmed hours. These show the hours an employer records as Authorised Absence when approving the placement hours.
3. Employer Compliance changes now save automatically
To create a more streamlined user experience, Employer Compliance now saves automatically when Update is clicked. The update is confirmed by a message in the bottom left of the screen.
4. Improved audit record to show how an employer was added
- When an employer record is created by a front-end user, an audit trail entry is generated showing the user's name and the date created.
- When an employer record is created through the SQL tblemployers or an external CRM (for example Microsoft Dynamics), an audit trail entry is generated showing Created by external data feed and the date created.
Reports
5. New "Tutor" column on the assessment count tables
The Assessment Completed report now has a new column displaying Tutor Name.
6. Activity and Placement reports now show student attribute data
We have added the ability to identify the attribute data linked to learners when looking at both the Activities and Placements reports.
7. "MyFutures" SQL export now includes Intended Destination
To allow colleges to report on intended destinations set in the student profile, we have added a new column titled Intended Destination to the SQL [Export_MyFuture] data table.
Opportunities
8. Search feature added to the Student Site opportunities listing page
We have added a search function so students can search for an opportunity by name.
9. General Opportunities module updates
The opportunities listing now hides the I'm Interested shortlisting button when it is not live to student applications that are:
- Started but not submitted.
- Waiting for tutor review.
- Successful applications.
- Unsuccessful applications.
Other improvements:
- Fixed an issue where form questions were not being displayed on opportunities.
- Improved the unsaved changes indicator for the opportunities modal.
- Improved mobile rendering when viewing opportunities.
Miscellaneous updates and fixes
- Made the login container border consistent with the rest of the site.
- Fixed an error exception preventing forms from being approved.
- Resolved students' groups not pulling through to the Target Tracking and Activity vs Target reports.
- Added the missing Activity Type filter to the new activities report.
- Added the missing Assessment Name filter to the new assessment report.
- Fixed "Added by" fields not being pulled through correctly.
- Refined the student group import to no longer attempt to delete student groups with active student mappings.
- Amended reports to include a search option on the attribute filter and Focus Mode on data tables.
- Changed the logic so students only show once in the Awaiting Details data grid in the Students Without Placements report.
