Gathering compliance before creating a real placement Steps to gathering compliance before creating a real placement

1. When you need to send out a DD form to an employer, create a Work Experience placement against that employer and the student called Placeholder Student. Select the placement type as Pending Compliance (this just ensures that you can easily filter out these placements when running reports to see the true figure of placements).

2. Once the placement is created, click Save at the top, then click into the Employer tab of the placement and select 'Send Due Diligence Form'. Make sure to hit Save at the top of the screen after this.

3. Once the employer has filled in the form, it'll sit in the audit trail of both the placement record and the employer record. Mark the employer as compliant as usual (by clicking into the Employer > Compliance > Yes > Fill in the details > Save).

4. Finally, you can delete that placeholder placement and create the actual placement against the real student.
