Approve/Reject Placements Submitted by Students

1. Introduction

Students are able to submit details of self-found placements to you through Navigate. These placements require your approval before they become live (active).

2. Click "4 Completed"

Click "4 Completed" to access the completed placements section, where you can review submissions from students.

3. Placements Requiring Your Approval.

On the homepage of the Navigate staff site, you can see the number of student-submitted placements that require your approval under the 'Your Students Placements' panel.

4. Placements Dashboard.

This will open up the placement dashboard where you can view the details of the placement, including:

5. Placements Dashboard.

The student details. Staff memeber responsible for the placement. The employer organisation Name The placement details including, start date, placement staus, planned and scheduled hours, student and employer confirmed hours and admin tasks Review all the information provided by the student and make any necessary changes.

6. Select Placement to Approve.

Click on the student name you wish to approve.

7. Click "Approvals."

Click on the tab 'Approvals'.

Click 'Approvals'


8. Click "Internal Approval/Rejection."

Click "Internal Approval/Rejection" to proceed with approving or rejecting the placement.

9. Type your name.

Type your name in the approval, rejected by box.

10. Click on your name when it appears.

11. Click "Date."

Click "Date" to specify the date of the approval or rejection.

12. Click "19."

Select the day of the approval date.

Click '19'


13. Select Approve.

To approve the placement, select approve. This will be selected by default.

14. Select Approval Method.

Click "solid" to confirm the status or category related to the placement approval process.

15. Select Approve.

To reject the placement, select rejected.

16. Add "Rejection reason."

Click "Rejection reason" to provide a justification if rejecting the placement.

17. Add "Rejection reason."

Clearly communicate the reason for rejecting the placement.

18. Click "Save" to approve or reject the placement.
