A step-by-step guide to Navigate for EHCP and Foundation learners using work placements. It covers logging in, adding and editing activities, and managing your placements.
Logging in to Navigate
You can log in to Navigate on a smartphone, computer, laptop or tablet at login.navigate.uk.com.
- Use the accessibility button to make the screen just how you like it. Navigate remembers your settings for next time you log in.
The Navigate homepage
When you log in, Navigate welcomes you back by name. From the homepage you can reach:
- My Targets - view and add activities.
- My Timeline - see all your activities.
- My Placements - manage your work placement.
- My Skills - take a test and see your skills.
Click to view your Timeline or to add an activity.
Adding an activity
- Write what you did in the activity box.
- Add photos or videos to support your entry.
- Choose whether it goes towards any of your targets.
- Use the hints if you need some help.
- Click Save when you have finished.
Editing an activity
- Click the title of the activity you want to edit.
- Make any changes you need.
- Click Save when you have finished.
Managing your placements
- Click into My Placements.
- Complete the checklist at the start of your placement.
- Confirm your attendance after each placement day.
Confirming attendance
- Click I attended if you went to placement.
- Click I didn't attend if you couldn't go to placement.
Writing your journal
- Write what you did in the journal box.
- Add photos or videos.
- Choose whether it goes towards any targets, and use the hints if you need them.
- Click Save when you have finished.
Adding a new placement date
If the placement day you attended is not listed, you can add a new date.
- Add the new date, including when you started and finished.
- Click Save.
- The date is added to the list, ready for you to confirm.
