Navigate Full Induction 2026/27

The complete Navigate student induction pack for 2026/27. Use it to onboard your students onto Navigate at the start of the year, covering everything from logging in to building a Digital CV. The full printable pack is attached at the bottom of this article.

What students get from Navigate

• Digital CV. A future proof record of achievements. Students upload photos, videos and documents from their work experience and activities to build a professional Digital CV that stays with them after college.
• AI Reflection Coach. A built in mentor that helps students identify the hidden skills they are developing, so they can talk about their strengths in interviews.
• My Future Career Quiz. An interactive quiz that matches students to job roles based on their personality and interests, with data on salaries and the realities of each role.
• My Placements. A mobile friendly space to manage the whole work placement journey.

Quick induction checklist

1. Download the app or create a shortcut. Go to www.navigate.uk.com and log in using Microsoft (college username and password) or Google. On desktop choose "Create a desktop shortcut"; on mobile choose "Add to Home Screen".
2. Complete a Skills Assessment. Click "Start New Skills Assessment" and answer each question honestly, or click "Continue" if one has been set for you. View your results: green indicates a strength, so focus on improving your amber and red skills.
3. Set your Skills Focus. In the My Profile module, set your skills focus based on the amber and red skills from your assessment results.
4. Set your Next Destination. Use the two drop downs to choose what you want to do after your course, then click Update. You can change this at any time.
5. Complete the My Future Career Quiz. Click "Start Planning your Future", answer the questions, then respond Yes or No to the career suggestions to be matched with job profiles.
6. Add an activity to My Timeline. Record enrichment, employer engagement and other activities to evidence skills and build the Digital CV.

My Placements

The Placements module is where students add placements for approval, view placement details, complete pre placement checklists, confirm attendance and write journals, complete placement feedback, read employer feedback, and submit a placement as complete. Encourage students to use the Reflection Coach to perfect their journal entries.

My Targets

In the Targets module students can view targets set for them, set their own targets, complete targets, and view completed targets. When adding an activity, students simply tick which target(s) it evidences.
